The Web's Immune System

Over the course of the last two decades, society has witnessed the rise of a new kind of technologist, the hacker.

From cyber criminals, to cyberpunks and political activists, the role of the hacker has experienced a monumental shift during the last 5 years. Once viewed as a pestilence across the world wide web, they are now seen as agents of change. 

Here, Keren Elazari, a cybersecurity expert, explains this shift and likens hacking to the immune system of the digital world.

The work of each hacker exposes specific weakness in the system, which allows for cybersecurity leaders to mend the breaches, thus making the whole system over time stronger.
